Assessment Center and Competency

It is an established fact, that aptitude and achieving excellence in a given field are intimately related. Invariably, we are unable to precisely identify our own core competencies, and those of our subordinates. Consequently, we have a lot of `square pegs in round holes’ in any given organization.

Appreciating the significance of the growing demand for quality HR, the OG Institute has constituted an Assessment Centre and Competency Mapping Wing (AC&CMW). The AC&CMW employs multiple simulations and exercises, which are closely linked to the job profile. These job simulation exercise evaluate the candidates’ behaviour/skills/knowledge and provide reliable and valid information about a range of his competencies considered to be necessary for successful performance at the expected target level for that job.

Objectives:

The key objectives of evaluating and conducting behaviour and competency profiling at the AC&CMW are as enumerated below:-

• Self appraisal and understanding own core competencies.
• Having identified own potential early in the career, optimise career progression by exploiting development opportunities in specific field by suitably acquiring appropriate skills and qualifications.
• Align competencies of employees to the organizational goals for enhanced productivity and better overall organizational performance.
• Conduct Psychometric and Sociometric tests to evaluate human behaviour in a comprehensive and standardised manner.
• AC&CM may also be applied for identifying talent in a specific field during recruitment and head hunting.
• Provide a comprehensive and integrated Assessment Report on each candidate for the various competencies sought by an individual or the organization. The evaluation being real time, spontaneous and based on data emerging from indoor and outward bound activities and Psychometric instruments, its validity coefficient is extremely high.
